You should search under the individual heading if your business Taxpayer Identification is a Social Security Number (SSN), Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN), or Adoption Taxpayer Identification Number (ATIN).  Otherwise, if your business Taxpayer Identification is an Employee Tax Identification Number, search under Company. 

You should enter the address associated with the Taxpayer Identification Number used for 1099 reporting purposes. This should match what is indicated on your W9 form. 

The Cannot Add New User error you are receiving is usually given when the User ID you are creating is taken.  To resolve this error you may want to try adding a number or symbol to the User ID.  

The Password Error you are receiving usually means you will need to check the password you have selected.  You want to make sure that your password includes the following:

The VSS System only allows for one account per Federal Tax ID.  If you have a company with multiple locations, you can specify each location when adding your billing, payment, and ordering addresses.  You will want to list the first location's name in the Street 1 field and the location's address in the Street 2 field.   

You will want to provide the Legal Business Name you submitted to the Secretary of State when you created your business.

If your Organization Type is Company, then the Legal Name is required.  Listing a Business Name (Alisa/DBA) is optional.

The Administrative Address tells us where the main administrative functions for your organization take place besides Ordering, Payment, and Billing.

The Billing Address tells us where to send information for any payment you may owe us.

The Name on Check field is optional and indicates the name that should be used on the checks or EFT disbursements issued to your company. 

The details entered on the My Business Information page should match the data you would provide on your W-9 form.

Yes, the information provided should be the same that is included on the W-9 form you would supply.  

Foreign Vendors without a US-issued TIN are unable to register on the ColoradoVSS website at this time. You can still review solicitations posted by the State of Colorado by using the Public Access button located on the lower right-hand side of the home page and/or respond to those solicitations without being registered online.
