• How can I locate my vendor/customer number?
  To locate your vendor code, you will want to follow the steps below:

  • Log into your VSS account.

  • Select the  "Questions About My Account" button on the homepage.

  • Your vendor/customer number is the Vendor Code in the Account/Question Information section.
    
    

• How do I upload a W9 to my VSS account?
  The registration process will allow you to choose to upload a W9 or other attachments.
  
  

• How do I update my Federal Tax ID?
  If your Federal Tax ID has changed, you should visit the ColoradoVSS System and begin another registration there with your new Federal Tax ID.
  
  

• What are the requirements for updating my Legal Business Name with VSS?
  Before updating your Legal Business Name on the VSS account, you should make sure that you have changed it with the IRS.  If this entity's Legal Name has changed, please provide documentation from the IRS.
  
  

• Where can I locate and download my substitute W-9 Certification Form for my VSS Account?

The following steps are used to find the replacement W-9 Certification Form for your VSS Account:

• Navigate to www.colorado.gov/vss

• Log into your VSS Account

• On the home page, select the Account Maintenance quick link 

• Click on the 3-Dot menu in the right corner 

• Click Download Substitute W-9 Certification Form
  
  

• I have recently changed positions and no longer overseeing Bids for my organization, how can I remove myself from the account?
  Please send the following information to vsshelp@state.co.us and request an Administrative reset to have your organization's account reset and your login credentials removed. 

  • • Federal Tax ID for your organization

    • Business Legal Name

    • Name of the previous employee

Once we have verified your company information, we will process your VSS Administrative Reset request. Upon completion, we will send instructions to create new login credentials to your existing account.
